- Email addresses - Used for account authentication and login codes
- Event data - Event names, dates, descriptions, and settings you provide
- Photos - Images uploaded by you or your event guests
- Payment information - Processed securely by Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers
- Usage data - Analytics information, IP addresses, browser type, and device information
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to:
- Provide and maintain the CaptureFlow service
- Send login codes and service notifications via email
- Process payments for premium features
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
What we will NEVER do:
- We will never sell your data to third parties
- We will never share your photos with anyone outside your event
- We will never use your photos for marketing or advertising
- We will never use your data to train AI or machine learning models
- We will never send you promotional emails (only service-related notifications)
3. Data Storage & Security
We take data security seriously:
- Photos are stored on DigitalOcean Spaces with server-side encryption
- Database hosted on MongoDB with TLS encryption in transit
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted to and from our service
- Regular security reviews and updates
- Access controls to limit data access to authorized personnel only

- Delete - Remove your events and photos at any time from your dashboard
- Export - Download your event photos as a ZIP file

7. Data Retention
We retain your data according to these schedules:
- Free trial events: Automatically deleted 30 days after trial expiration or last activity
- Premium events: Retained for 1 year from event date. We send a reminder email before deletion
- Account data: Retained until you request deletion
- On request: Data deleted within 7 days of your request
- Payment records: Retained as required by law for tax purposes (typically 7 years)
Important: Free trial photos are permanently deleted after 30 days to manage storage. Upgrade to Premium to keep photos for 1 year.
8. Children's Privacy
CaptureFlow is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users between 13-18 should have parental consent before using the Service. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at hello@captureflow.io.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
